Get it Done Framework

Lesson 2 Module 1

The Whole Goals 5 Step Get it done framework – Clear it, plan it, do it, redo it, renew it.

Clear it – get clear on your goals and desires, clear away any mental or physical clutter holding you back from reaching your goals.

Plan it – Set your goals and create a step by step roadmap to achieving your goals.

Do it – Take initial action, then consistent focused action. Schedule time for strategy and tasks for achieving your goals, put a lifeline (deadline) on it to stay on track.

Break your goals into projects then down into bite-sized actionable tasks and set specific time blocks that you will only focus on those particular tasks, these focused sprints are called the Pomodoro Technique. You set a timer to say blocks of 25 minutes in which you work on only that task. You take a 5-minute break in between to do whatever you like, then you do another 25-minute time block. You do this for as long as it takes to get the task done it should take no longer than 3 rounds of this or you did not break your tasks down enough. This will skyrocket your productivity and help you get more done in less time.

Focus beats multitasking every time when trying to get things done.

Because multitasking is actually task switching each task that you do require a different mindset. When you keep switching back and forth you never fully get in the zone and it actually takes you longer to complete each task than if you did them one by one. Some experts estimate that switching between tasks can cause as much as a 40% loss in productivity.

Make it easy to focus by lessening your distractions when you’re trying to accomplish a task or get stuff done. Turn off your ringer or notifications, find quiet places or times you won’t be disturbed, Close extra tabs and windows when you have to do stuff on your computer or online.

Still can’t focus try taking deep breaths, meditation, or exercise.

Re-do it – you have to create habits, rituals and systems to create consistency in anything that you do. I call this Daily HRS, Daily Habits, Rituals, and Systems. We will be creating self-care, organization, and profit habits, rituals, and systems in this program.

A good start is with creating a powerful morning ritual or routine. The Magic Morning Makeover can help you with that.

Renew it – When something is new it gives you another sense of motivation. So after you finish the other 4 steps, it’s time to start fresh, either on something new or restarting what you’ve already done with a new perspective for greater mastery.
