Balanced Life Design

Lesson 7 Module 3

Balanced Life Design (B-Life Design) We will begin building out our balance board. This board will help us to keep our desires and action plan for balanced living and a balanced business in front of us.

Looking at our overall desires helps us see the big picture, which is the purpose of creating our goals. It’s our why and our why is what keeps us motivated and pushing forward.

Sometimes it’s difficult to see past the day to day, but you must look at the big picture to see the bigger plan for your life and also pinpoint your desires, goals and needed actions to achieve them. It’s best to go big and then hone in and focus in on bite-sized tasks to help you get the results you desire.

Identify your Ultimate Desires

First, you want to identify your true desires in each of the four major areas of your life, this will be your underlying driving factors for accomplishing your goals and overall balance. I’ve included my example below.

Identify your Big Goals

Again the 4 major areas of your life are outlined on the board. First, you identify your big goals based on your ultimate desires. These goals should be specific and measurable.

Small Actionable Steps

Next, beneath that goal, you will list small actionable steps (like we did with the focus sprints yesterday) that you will use to achieve the goal. We can start with my health goal of releasing 30 lbs. which was based on my desire to be sexy, vibrant and fit.

I’m starting with health, but you want to prioritize which goal you will focus on first, based on the goal that has the most urgency or causes the biggest transformation for you. You can also just focus on the goal that is the quickest and easiest to complete to build your momentum if doing a big goal is too much for you right now. My example is below.

Wealth Business Goals

For my wealth goals, I did a quick outline of what I can do to generate a consistent $5,000 a month (my big goal). First I would work on my Money Mindset by identifying my current beliefs around money and creating new money mantras. Then I’d get a Money Plan by looking at the big picture, seeing how many clients I need and coming up with a daily strategy. Next, I have Sell Programs by booking sales calls and creating more value to bring in new customers. Finally, I would create a Sales Funnel which is a system to bring in more sales.

Okay so you get the point, the balance board helps you see the big picture and break it down into actionable steps. You can also break this down further into small daily repetitive habits so that you can put your goal completion on autopilot.
